Size and shape
A bungalow roof is quicker than a large detached house with hips, valleys and dormers.
Height and pitch
Two or three storeys, or a steep pitch, means more setting up to reach every slope safely.
Access
Room for the kit, a clear drive, and how easily we can reach the back of the roof.
Tile type
Concrete, clay and slate each need a slightly different approach.
How much moss
A light green film is quicker than years of thick moss and lichen.
Extras
A conservatory, driveway or patio on the same visit. Gutters, fascias and soffits are free with the roof.

No deposit
Nothing to pay up front. You pay when the job's finished and you're happy, by bank transfer or cash.
3-year moss-free guarantee
If moss clearly grows back within three years, we re-clean the roof free. In writing, on your invoice. Roofs under overhanging trees aren't covered.
Tile replacement guarantee
We photograph the roof before we start. If a tile is disturbed during the clean, we replace it like for like at no cost.

Price questions
How much does moss removal cost?
Moss removal is part of every roof clean, so it's the same price: most homes £650 to £950, with the biocide moss treatment included. There's no separate charge for the moss.
Why a range and not an exact price?
Because two roofs are never the same. Size, pitch, access and how much moss there is all change the job, so we price your roof individually and give you one fixed figure.
Why do some companies quote less?
Many quotes are for the clean alone. Moss treatment and gutter cleaning are often charged on top, and high-pressure washing is quicker but can crack tiles. Our price includes the biocide, a gutter clear and your fascias and soffits.
Is the quote free?
Yes. The quote is free, and so is a visit if we need one, with no obligation to book.
Will the price change on the day?
No. The price we give you is the price you pay, unless you ask us to add something extra.
Do you take a deposit?
No. There's no deposit at any stage. You pay when the job's finished and you're happy with it, by bank transfer or cash.
Is VAT added?
No. We're not VAT registered, so there's no VAT to add to your price.
Do I pay extra for the gutters and fascias?
No. Every roof clean includes a free gutter clear and a free fascia & soffit clean. There's nothing extra to pay for either.
